Resolving Conflict with Confidence: A Masterclass for Professional Leaders
Work environments are increasingly complex, shaped by diverse perspectives, varying levels of confidence among employees to express themselves, psychosocial safety of the work environment, and personal experiences. As such, workplace conflict is inevitable, but when handled well it can lead to stronger teams, clearer communication, and better outcomes for everyone involved.
This half-day Conflict Resolution Masterclass is designed to equip managers and leaders with the tools and strategies to manage interpersonal tensions and team disputes before they escalate.
You’ll explore the everyday conflicts that don’t breach legal standards but can quietly erode team morale and productivity. These include misunderstandings, communication breakdowns, or personality clashes, the kind of issues that, left unaddressed, can create ongoing tension and disengagement. This Masterclass also clarifies what constitutes a breach of the Fair Work Act and formal disputes under the Act.
Learning Objectives
Through expert facilitation, case-based learning, and self-reflection, participants will learn how to:
- Identify and respond to informal workplace conflicts
- Maintain respectful, constructive conversations in challenging situations
- Strengthen team cohesion and psychological safety
- Understand their own conflict style
- Develop collaborative agreements that prevent future issues
By identifying common barriers to conflict resolution and engaging in reflective self-assessment, participants will gain greater insight into their own conflict styles and learn alternative strategies for navigating challenging workplace dynamics.
