The Futures Series

The Futures Series is a two-part professional learning program designed to equip middle managers and senior leaders with the skills to develop a Futures mindset that prepares them to drive transformational change in ambiguity, while leading for success in the Future of Work.

Course overview

The Futures Series, comprising four modules and a 2-day masterclass, offers flexibility for participants to engage with the content first in a self-paced online format followed by a 2-day interactive discussion based masterclass. The combination adopts a blended learning approach, providing a dynamic learning experience.

Self-paced online modules entail:

  • An Introduction to the Future
  • How to Think Like a Futurist
  • The Future of Work, Today
  • Leading in the Future of Work

Format

Following a curated playlist of high-quality, self-paced videos, complemented by personal online reflection activities, participants will start to develop an eye for Futures Thinking and become aware of the signposts around them. These will form the basis of the interactive, high level thinking and planning they will be guided through in the 2 x 1-day Masterclasses with Dr Ben Hamer, Australia’s youngest accredited Futurist. Between engaging with the self-paced online modules and the masterclasses, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a one-hour virtual Q&A session with Ben, to address any queries stemming from the online content and to adequately prepare for the face-to-face sessions.

The Masterclass, conducted at the ECU City Campus (or a designated client site) incorporates content review, individual reflection, interactive group activities, and practical tool deployment to deepen understanding and application for Futures Thinking. This program is a must for anyone wanting to secure a future mindset in the Future of Work.
