ECU World Tourism Day 2025

Edith Cowan University (ECU), in collaboration with Tourism WA, Crown Perth, and Women in Tourism and Hospitality WA (WiTH WA), successfully hosted the inaugural ECU World Tourism Day Forum 2025 on 24th September at Crown Resort, Perth. The event brought together keynote speakers and expert panellists from across Western Australia’s tourism sector to lead the global conversation on sustainable and inclusive tourism.
The School of Business and Law at ECU spearheaded the forum, which aligned with the United Nations World Tourism Day 2025 theme: Tourism and Sustainable Transformation. The half-day event convened influential voices from government, industry, and academia to explore a shared vision for the future of tourism in WA.
The forum featured a distinguished lineup of keynote speakers, including:
- Caitlin Collins MLA, Member for Hillarys, representing the Minister for Tourism
- Di Bain, Chair and Commissioner of Tourism Western Australia
- Brian Pereira, CEO of Crown Perth
- Angela Beechey, Chair of WiTH WA
Angela Beechey also led a fireside chat with prominent WiTH WA members:
